Working with Tags in the UI

  1. Locate the Tags Panel: When you are viewing or editing a note, scroll down until you find the TAGS section, usually located below the main content area.
  2. Expand the View: This section might initially be collapsed to save space. To reveal the tag input field and management options, click on the downward arrow ( ⌄ ) icon next to the TAGS title. Once expanded, this arrow will typically change to an upward arrow ( ^ ).

Once the Tags section is expanded, you’ll see an input field labeled “Find a tag…” (as shown in the second image).

  1. Start Typing: Begin typing keywords into the “Find a tag…” field. Noeko will show a dynamic list of matching tags you’ve created before.
  2. Select and Apply: Click on the desired tag from these suggestions to instantly apply it to your current note.
  1. Type Full Name: If the tag you wish to add doesn’t exist yet, press the ”+” icon to add it
  2. Add a Description (Optional but Recommended): After typing the tag name, you’ll have the option to add a brief description for this new tag. Providing a description here is highly recommended as it helps Noeko’s intelligent system understand the tag’s context, leading to more accurate suggestions for you in the future.
  3. Confirm Creation: Press Enter (or look for an explicit “Create new tag” option if available). Noeko will then create this new tag and apply it to the note.

Tags that are already associated with your note will appear as distinct “pills” or buttons within the TAGS section (e.g., APP DEVELOPMENT, AI-PROMPTING).

  1. Locate the Tag: Find the tag you wish to remove.
  2. Click the ‘X’ Icon: Each applied tag pill will have a small x (cross) icon next to its name. Click this x icon, and the tag will be immediately unlinked from your note and disappear from the list of applied tags.

This visual interface gives you precise control over your note’s tag associations, making it easy to keep your organization system tidy and accurate.
