Import Ideas
You can import your ideas directly into Noeko without the hassle of moving them manually, provided they are in a supported format.
Supported Formats
Section titled “Supported Formats”Right now, we support the following import formats:
- Markdown: a single file, or a directory of markdown files
- Text: a single file, or a directory of markdown files
Importing your ideas
Section titled “Importing your ideas”From Settings
- Click on your Profile icon
- Select “Settings”
- Scroll to find “Import Ideas”
- Press this and follow the workflow
From Spotlight
- Press
Ctrl+K(orCmd+Kon macOS) to open the command palette. - Type “Import Idea” and select the command.
- This will navigate you to the import screen where you can select files or folders to import.
Import Content
Section titled “Import Content”You can import content in the following ways:
- Individual Markdown Files: Import single
.mdor.markdownfiles. The system handles frontmatter and linked assets. - Folders of Markdown Files: All Markdown files found within the specified directories will be imported.
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”Currently, the following features are not supported during import:
- Images: (coming soon) Images are not imported, but you can add them later inside the notes using our editor.
- Bidirectional Linking: (coming soon) Bidirectional linking of notes is not imported, but you can link the notes inside the Noeko.
